AHHA
Dual-screen video projection
Duration: 5 minutes
AHHA explores notions of scale in both a visual and metaphoric sense. It engages with ‘big’ themes, exploring notions of origin and gestation, and the fears and pleasures associated with this.
AHHA does so partly through visual references to the expanse and power of the sea, partly through visual references to the private, intimate, and the domestic.
The film thus sets up ambiguous and shifting relations between experiences and impressions of intimacy and distance, smallness and vastness, the banal and the otherworldly.
