Journey of an Angel consists of 12 mounted prints featuring a cherub modelled on Raphael’s Renaissance painting Sistine Madonna from the early 16th century. This modern glossy version of the cherub, with added perm and luscious mascara, was amongst the artists' collection of childhood kitsch memorabilia. The image has continued to hold some magic because of its pictorial absurdity and ambiguity: is it a child or a grown-up, male or female, innocent or flirtatious?

In Journey of an Angel, the multiple facets of this ambiguous character are explored through a series of events, a journey of metaphysical, absurd, and banal experiences.
